About the Collection
The Cane Embroidery Collection introduces a craft innovation developed with Palestinian women artisans. Traditional tatreez embroidery, historically done on fabric, is reinterpreted by stitching directly onto cane panels. The open weave of the cane becomes a new canvas, allowing the artisans to adapt their ancestral motifs into a contemporary material.
Each panel is fully hand-embroidered, and every piece carries slight variations that reflect the individuality of the maker. These embroidered cane surfaces are then framed within solid wood forms, highlighted with brass details, and paired with marble tops in certain pieces.
The collection brings together heritage, innovation, and storytelling. It honors the women who craft each stitch while presenting a new visual language for cane, transforming a familiar material into something expressive, textured, and deeply human.
